The MCA Store in Sydney has recently been transformed by Fable (previously MAKE Creative). Sections of solid wall were demolished to expose an existing full length glazed façade, connecting the store to the museum while co-existing with the architecture. A striking custom steel shelving system lines the glazed façade, showcasing the unique range of products, while maintaining visibility into the store. The store’s stunning book collection is displayed on a wall of folded steel shelves, with sculptural display plinths showing the range of gifts and homewares.

 Widely recognized as one of the best museum stores in the world, the MCA Store is located within and directly supports the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. Dedicated to representing the best emerging and established Australian artists and designers, the store stocks a unique range of jewellery, homewares, gifts, books and publications.
