Poepke, Paddington

We were commissioned by Poepke to revitalise their store, a William Street institution stocking an eclectic range of local and international designers.

Fable (previously MAKE) worked with the directors, Nicola Lie and Juliet Kember to create an intimate and sculptural space, showcasing covetable pieces from Issey Miyake, Dries Van Noten and Yoji Yamamoto.

A series of small interventions were created within the 3 room boutique. Plywood compositions evoke the shapes of sewing patterns, creating intriguing and tactile display spaces. Down the centre of the store, textured blocks form movable compositions allowing the store to be reconfigured easily to feature new collections or showcase new products.
