Unit T2 for Goodman

Unit T2 was a second workplace fitout commissioned by Global Property Group, Goodman. Housed in a previously unoccupied industrial mezzanine space, this new satellite offiˆce was designed to highlight the transformative possibilities of industrial sites and create a showcase for adaptive reuse.

The scope included the base build refurbishment of the entire site with the 400sqm Goodman tenancy sliced out of this space, its perimeter walls off‹set from the truss bays. This created a distinctive asymmetrical cross section, with the lowest point of the space in the centre and the highest volumes towards the edges.

The scheme underlined this distinctive cross section, leaving the building shell exposed and fitting a series of timber clad forms tightly underneath the existing steel trusses. The forms evoke the lines of industrial roofscapes and frame a formal entry into the workplace. Meeting rooms, as well as focus rooms line
this entry space, framing a view through to the 30 workstations located along the façade and natural light.
